Founded by German designer Tamara Comolli in 1992, the successful international fine jewelry brand TAMARA COMOLLI epitomizes “barefoot luxury”. The brand is known for its playful yet sophisticated and feminine designs and exceptional gemstone “Color Stories” ­ mesmerizing combinations of vibrant precious stones. The brand has eight of its own boutiques in locations by the sea and approximately 120 points of sale, primarily in Europe and the US.

Our Marketing department in Gmund am Tegernsee is currently seeking a candidate to start in the following position as soon as possible:

E-COMMERCE MANAGER (M/F/D)

(full-time)

The E-Commerce Manager is responsible for the ongoing development, improvement and maintenance of TAMARA COMOLLI’s digital channel with the aim of ensuring sales growth and conducting business operations. The focus is on expanding TAMARA COMOLLI’s web presence with the clear goal of developing the website in line with the defined strategy in addition to establishing a sustainable and profitable online sales channel. 

Taking a strong strategical and analytical approach, the E-Commerce Manager is responsible for managing TAMARA COMOLLI’s web presence in order to achieve sales growth. This includes building an infrastructure to ensure customers receive long-term reliable service by leading a team of internal and external staff to develop TAMARA COMOLLI’s web presence effectively.

Following a holistic brand approach, the E-Commerce Manager ensures that brand objectives and marketing promotions are implemented onsite. In close collaboration with the Mono and Multibrand Teams, the E-Commerce Manager ensures that merchandise, content and images are implemented in good time. The E-Commerce Manager also leverages merchandising and content expertise to help develop a best-in-class online experience that maximizes conversion opportunities and encourages relevant traffic.


What you’ll do:

  • Independently develop and implement a digital/e-commerce strategy in line with the overall company strategy
  • Set sales targets and plan budgets in line with the digital/e-commerce strategy
  • Project management: manage, monitor and brief external service providers and agencies (main point of contact); pursue business development and monitor and evaluate new trends in online business on an ongoing basis
  • Identify, track and resolve technical issues on the website together with the internal IT team; propose and thoroughly test new functions together with external agencies and the internal IT team (helping resolve issues concerning data feeds, product, pricing, promotions, content, orders, third party integrations, etc.)
  • Coordinate product photos, product descriptions and all other necessary assets internally to ensure smooth product launches onsite (collaboration with internal team, which leads external photo teams and content creators.); put products online and implement visual merchandising onsite in line with product strategy and online product range guidelines
  • Report on core KPIs on an ongoing basis, e.g. in monthly reports, and come up with suggested measures based on your findings


Collaboration:

    • Work closely with Management, Marketing, Product Marketing, Monobrand and Multibrand to identify business drivers that guide the development of seasonal digital marketing and the retail calendar in order to leverage sales growth
    • As a part of the Marketing & Communications team, ensure synergy between online and offline content, promotions and product launches
    • Collaborate closely with Order Management and Processing to ensure an extraordinary customer experience in the following areas: order management, order processing, payment and shipping
    • Gather monthly feedback and analysis from Customer Service to improve customer experience onsite
    • Work with CRM Manager to devise and lead an email communications program to drive sales and brand engagement


What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Management, Information Systems or equivalent
  • 3+ years of e-commerce experience, preferably in a jewelry or luxury goods environment
  • A detailed understanding of end-to-end e-commerce processes including clear understanding of website infrastructure, content management, product attribution, and customer-facing functionality
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment efficiently and strategically with a wide range of internal departments (e.g. Product Marketing, Monobrand, Multibrand, IT, CRM, etc.)
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, develop, and grow teams. Ability to manage up, down and across to get results
  • Strong organizational, analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Distinct flair and feel for digital trends
  • Good knowledge of Content Management Systems and shop systems (Shopify)
  • Understanding of digital marketing, SEO, SEA, social media, HTML and CSS
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, MS Office, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
  • Fluency in German and English

  • The E-Commerce Manager reports to the Director of Marketing Communications & E-Commerce
